Our client requires a Data Protection Assistant on a long term temporary basis to support the ongoing compliance with GDPR within the business, to be the first point of contact for data controllers and processors regarding the processing of personal data and any queries.
This is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week reporting into the department head.
You will have strong administration skills within an environment using personal data, a understanding of GDPR and compliance on the protection of individuals with regarding to processing personal data and on the free movement of such data.
Your responsibilities will include:
* To assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance of GDPR; * Plan and assist with data processing audits, reviewing and collation of date for review committees; * Regularly, monitoring core activities across the organisation to ensure they comply with the EU GDPR and report to R&I Manager as required; * Monitor and process the logging data breaches and information security incidents, escalating to R&I Manager for investigation; * To keep up to date with changes in legislation; * Assist with the general administration of data erasure/rectification/restrict processing requests.
You will have good knowledge of word/excel/outlook and an understanding of how to apply legislation in a practical scenario within healthcare. Previous roles within auditing, compliance, data protection, FCA may be a good fit for this assignment.
