We currently recruiting for a Head of Quality & Standards Assurance professional to cover a six-months post. As a senior manager within the Nursing and Quality Directorate the post holder will support the Chief Nurse and the Assistant Director of Clinical Governance to ensure the organisation meets the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), manage the registration/de-registration process and monitor ongoing compliance with fundamental standards. The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating the assurance of the quality of care by collaborating with the Head of Patient Safety, Head of Risk and clinical leaders across the organisation.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* Knowledge of health service management - minimum two years; * Knowledge and experience of change management; * Post-graduate qualification or equivalent knowledge gained from relevant working environment including regulatory bodies; * Evidence of ongoing learning and professional development; * Knowledge and experience of clinical governance and standards; * Experience of ability to work independently and autonomously; * Ability to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages as well as relevant web based programmes; * Knowledge and experience of contract management.
The successful Head of Quality & Standards Assurance candidate will have good experience of initiating and maintaining systems and databases, analysis and presentation of data, have the ability to initiate plan, manage and deliver projects with good people management experience. Previous experience of the NHS systems, CQC registration and inspection process would be desirable.
Travel to and from sites across Kent, Medway, London and East Sussex and other sites as required. Some travel to meetings/events outside of the organisation may be required in line with areas of responsibility. Driving Licence with use of own car. Travel expenses will be paid.
