Having been established for over 100 years, a leading export manufacturing firm based in the heart of Gloucestershire are searching for a new Managing Director.
Under the stewardship of the EMEA Area President and the US-based parent company, the incoming candidate will ensure that the firm continue to challenge the boundaries of innovation and product development.
The business already enjoy strong market positioning and share across most (if not all) of their product categories. Not looking to rest on their laurels, the business will expect continued growth with the appointment of a new Managing Director.
The firm are easily accessible from the M5, boast impressive levels of staff retention, possess a strong support network/infrastructure, and can offer a competitive benefits package.
As Managing Director you will have full P&L control - incorporating all of the company's functions. Key accountabilities for the role will include:
* Build and develop an effective management team; * Establish company goals consistent with shareholder expectations; * Translation of these goals into short, medium and long-term actions (and implementation thereof); * Guide and develop the financial performance of the company; * Development of strategic plans; * Leadership and motivation to all employees.
In order to be considered for the role, the successful applicant will hold:
* A minimum of five years' worth of experience of occupying an MD, GM, or Site Leader role within a manufacturing or production environment; * Tangible experience of having full P&L responsibility within a business that possesses multimillion pound T/O; * Masters/Bachelor's Degree within a technical discipline (Engineering, Manufacturing, Production); * Demonstrable experience of conceiving, planning, and executing commercial, growth orientated strategy; * Working knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP/MRP); * Dynamic approach; evident leadership and engagement skills; * Expert communication skills; the ability to converse effectively with internal and external stakeholders across all disciplines; * Integrity - coupled with strong business ethics; * Full driving licence.
