A Planner is required to join a global manufacturing firm based in South Kent.
Reporting into the Production Manager, the incoming candidate will be accountable for the development and execution of the production plan in lien with customer and external demand.
The firm will consider candidates with production planning, but also supply chain or demand planning experience.
The post-holder will work cross-functionally and ensure effective communication in-order to deliver business imperatives also support continual development of a production scheduling system within a busy production environment.
Chief accountabilities will be:
* Plan production requirements across all production lines; * Provide production plans for all areas by agreed deadlines; * Attend daily production meetings with the manufacturing team; * Work closely with Production Manager ensuring plans are correct and achievable; * Gather production information and report against shortfalls / resource issues and OTIF (on time in full); * Develop and drive forward production planning process; * Identify areas for improvement and drive forward new procedures and production processes and monitor standards via regular reporting; * Working closely with stock control department to ensure smooth operation of production process.
In order to be considered, candidates will need to have a strong background in production or manufacturing scheduling, controlling, or planning - prior experience of this will be required in order to make a successful application.
Adept at using an ERP, and confident with analysing data, the post holder will be a strong communicator who can confidently liaise with numerous internal stakeholders in order to achieve production goals.
